Been a while...

I know it's been a while since I have posted anything - so thought I'd better (I like to also, just hard to find time lately).

The kids are doing well, we have all been sick the past two weeks, but they have recently gotten better and I am slowly recovering from an ear infection that seems to be lingering, along with a VERY runny nose, didn't know anyone could have that much fluid (snot ;0) up there!  It's winter though, so the same old everyone getting sick and passing it around stuff.  Lucy had an ear infection, but it went away on it's own.  I went to the doctors because she was complaining but I didn't want to use medication unless I had to, they said over 2 years old most kids will get over an ear infection in 2 days, if it bugs them any longer - antibiotics should be used.  So, I got a Rx but didn't end up using it - I hate to take/give medication unless NECESSARY, you know?  So, I got a Rx for me too, because my jaw was starting to hurt, but haven't got it filled yet - I think it may get better on it's own.

Cory took his big test on Wednesday morning and then started school that afternoon - not much of a break in between :(.  At least we got to go to Utah and have that break for 2 weeks, other than that Cory has been going to work and studying late as usual :).  He is doing well too, I am sure he did great on this test - the last of three he has to take before he starts his Disertation, besides the tests during this semester.  He passed the first two already.  He better - he studies his brain out!

Lucy is growing up and loving it.  Nothing really new with her - she is just getting smarter with her numbers, letters, and getting better at coloring and drawing all the time.  It's fun to watch her grow and learn.  She loves her friends from primary and loves playing with and protecting her brother too.

Logan is growing so fast too.  He has quite the personality!  Funny kid.  He's getting better at talking all the time and loves hearing himself.  He also loves singing for FHE, during the sacrament hymns, and with me at bedtime, it's SO cute!  He loves typical boy stuff - climbing up the couch and sliding down it is one of Lucy & his favorites though - hey, it gets some of their energy out! :).  We are currently working on weaning him slowly off his binkie, we just give it to him during nap and at night time right now.  Also, we have another Shrek lover in the house, it's contagious around here!  Yes, Logan loves Shrek, or "Shet" as he calls him :).  Shrek, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Cars are tied around here for Logan.  If any of you didn't watch "Shrek the Halls" over the holidays, you missed out - it's pretty funny :).

I stay busy with the kids, and doing all the other things I do :).  Lately I have been looking at apartments on Craigslist because I am going crazy with our parking situation.  It is SO much worse in the winter.  Today I drove around two blocks 5 times (one way streets) looking for a spot.  The kids were asleep - it was around 1pm, so I wanted to get a relatively close spot, but the only spots I saw were 2 blocks away.  It wouldn't be a huge deal if it weren't snowy, mucky, muddy, wet, cold, and I didn't have two tired kids with me to haul.  I am so ready for spring!!!  It is just hard for me to want to go anywhere because I am going to lose my spot or I am going to have to pack up the kids and haul them a couple blocks.  I admit I had forgotten what a pain it is to look for apartments.  There is a lot posted every day and some go really fast, so I feel if I don't look I won't know or won't get one.  But why am I even looking right now?  I don't want to move in the middle of winter!  Am I crazy!  That would be awful!  I have looked at a few now and do feel that I know what I am looking for and what we can get for what price in what area, etc.  so I think I am going to go easy now and stop looking so much.  I will look here and there, but whatever.  What a pain!  It's hard too because I know we will be moving in a couple of months, so I can't just not look - with craigslist first come first serve, so whatever.  You do what you gotta right? :).  So, first things first, but gonna be looking off and on :) - just wanna get it over with and settle already!!!  No, really though, my life is really good and I really shouldn't complain!  I have realized one thing, we have a nice apt compared to many - the setup, neighborhood, landlord, etc.  We do have it really good.  Life is great and God has blessed us A TON!!!

Sorry for talking/writing your head off, it's just been a while.  I will be posting a Christmas Vacation video in the next couple days too, so stay tuned.

I never did post pictures from November - well a few - so here is a little slideshow recapping November, enjoy...

Candice, why are you guys moving in a few months? I know Cory is about to start his disertation, but will you be moving from New York?

Good to hear from you and glad things are well in Albany.

Sorry about the cold and your parking situation. I can relate to the parking, but not the cold. It's not cold here, but man does parking suck. Luckily we do have a reserved spot for us in front of our building, but going anywhere else is awful. We have to pay for parking even when we go grocery shopping, if I can't find metered street parking! I'm definitely not in Utah anymore! We can't wait to move to San Diego where conveniences like parking lots are normal!!
