Our Trip to Baltimore/Utah/Las Vegas/California/Chicago

So I haven't posted for a while and so much has happened since I wrote last! We have had a great time - and kept VERY busy! We took a trip to Utah and California for 2+ weeks to visit with family and go to Disneyland (The Baltimore & Chicago were the places we stopped on our flights). It was a lot of traveling - 2/6 hr flights and 2/12 hour drives - but it was worth it :). And we celebrated 3 birthdays.

Before we left for Utah we celebrated Lucy's 4th birthday and Cory's ?#th birthday at home a day early, not huge, just some gifts and birthday cereal :). We did that in the morning and then flew to Utah to visit with the Dennis'. We had a lot of fun swimming, riding horses and razor four wheelers, celebrating Lucy and Cory's real birthdays, going out to eat and watching movies. We were glad Cory's sister, Jen, and her family came to visit too - we hadn't seen them for 1 1/2 years! Thanks for the great time family!!!

During that time Cory and I also went to my 10 year high school reunion, yeah I never thought I would be saying that! But I have some really close friends and they wanted to go - so I thought I'd make it a party :) jk! We had a sleepover too, still young at heart!!! It was a lot of fun, saw some friends I hadn't seen in a long time and really wanted to catch up with. Thanks girls for such a great time!!!

After visiting with Cory's family we stayed at my families house for a night, talked and played games. The next day we got in the car and headed to Las Vegas to visit Cory's brother, Chris, and his family. We had a good time and it was a good break in between Utah and California - a much needed break!!! We had a great time catching up, watching the kids play, and playing games. Thanks guys!

Then we met up with my family and continued on to California where we rested at a hotel for the night and then went to Disneyland, the beach, and California Adventures. We had a lot of fun! Lucy loved meeting all the princesses and Logan loved riding the boats, trains, and meeting Lightning McQueen! The kids didn't like some of the rides, I don't recommend Toad's Wild Ride to anyone younger than 8! Cory thought it would be fun and the kids would like it - he forgot he was like 13 when he road it! It was Disneyland, and we had a blast!

The beach was absolutely wonderful and now I totally want to live there! I can see why so many people want to live in L.A. near the beach, which is why it's so dang expensive! The weather is awesome there! Oh well, it's really nice to visit anyway :).

On the way home we ran into a lot of trouble in CA and had to take a long and windy detour. It got kind of scary for a while with lots of fog on a steep and windy road, but we made it out okay :). After the elevation changed Lucy said, in a worried voice, "hello? hello? hello? oh no! my ears aren't working!!!" It was so funny! I had her swallow to pop her ears and then she was fine :). After the drive home from California to Utah we stayed and let our bottoms rest for a day :), before we had to get on a plane again. We had fun with family again - it was good to see everyone, thanks for a very enjoyable stay!

The day after we got back was Logan's 2nd birthday, so we celebrated that. We went to a large park and enjoyed the day and then opened gifts and ate cake. (I had to make it on the last minute since we just got back). Logan had a blast and had us sing "Happy Birthday" to him like 7 times, it was cute :). Another thing off that subject, Logan's new thing is "playing with my eyeballs," yeah, it's so funny! He closes his eyelids and pushes his eye balls around with his fingers, ha ha! What a boy!

The kids had so much fun they keep talking about going to Utah to see Grandma and Grandpa and Opa and Oma. Logan even asks where uncles and aunts are sometimes, "wheres' Megan?" and, "where's Nate?" Logan even started crying in the car and saying that he wanted to go see Opa and Grandpa, he wouldn't let up either! He was really adamant about it! It was sad. We are glad they had a great time and got to know some of their relatives better, since they don't get to see them often. It's good to know though that no matter how far we go and for how long we are gone, we always feel welcome and have a good time with our family and friends. It's like we were never apart!

Cute slide show! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! :) Disneyland is magical for kids isn't it?! :) Jaden keeps telling us he wants to go back--he was Logan's age when he got to see McQueen, and he still remembers it!

Wow! Your family must have had a great time in those two weeks! Great work on the slideshow. Looks like you're using iMovie to its potential. :)
